Following up on my previous post, when we consider the breakdown of population changes in QLD we can see where the real slow-down is happening.
For the year to March 2015 Natural Increase accounted for 34,083 people, which was the smallest increase from this component since Sept 2007 (when the QLD population was over 15% lower than it is now).
Net Overseas Migration was also weak at just 20,857; the lowest for this component since March 2001!
Net Interstate Migration saw something of a rebound and at 6,195 was the best number for five quarters (although still well below the levels seen three years ago).
The Total increase for the year to March 2015 was 61,135.
