While the base, unseasonally adjusted data from Cairns Airport for February shows total passenger numbers were low the Conus Trend hit highs not seen since the middle of 2019. The Trend in February hit 429,004; you have to go back to August 2019 to find a level this high and clearly shows that traffic through the Airport is back to pre-COVID levels. Significantly, international passengers now make up almost 17% of total passengers which we haven’t seen (barring one instance in Feb 2019) since 2011!
