TC Jasper flood event business survey

The Cairns Regional Council and their Economic Recovery Sub-Committee have contracted Conus Business Consultancy Services to conduct an Economic Impact Assessment (EIA) to determine the impacts of TC Jasper and the subsequent flooding event. The EIA will consider both the Cairns Regional Council Local Government Area as well as the broader Cairns Region and will be used to assist Council in formulating their Disaster Recovery responses, and to better plan for such events in the future.

In order for us to gather as much data as possible to inform this work we have created an on-line Survey. We are keen to get as many businesses as possible within the region to respond. To ensure that the EIA provides the most robust data possible it is imperative that data is collected from as many businesses as possible; businesses of all sizes, in all industry sectors, and whether they have been impacted by the event or not.

Council are keen to formulate their Recovery Plan in as timely a manner as possible and as such the EIA is running on a tight schedule.

The Survey can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/tcjasper and will be open until COB 13th March 2024.

Survey responses will be completely anonymous and all data collected will be treated strictly confidentially. The results of the EIA will be available to Council and Economic Recovery Sub-Committee members by early April.

If you have any queries or concerns about the Survey please just ask; pete@conus.com.au or 0439 490088.
