Conus is proud to be working in partnership with Mission Beach Tourism in the delivery of free strategic planning workshops for not-for-profits and community groups in the area. The workshops are being fully funded by the Queensland Government.

The workshops were held during July 2012 in Mission Beach, Tully and Innisfail. Each was a half a day (Saturday morning) and were fully interactive strategic planning workshops. The workshops were the same so attendees needed to only attend one session. All materials were provided and attendees finished the morning with their own strategic planning workbook for their organisation.
Light refreshments were also served free of charge.
For those who already had a strategic plan this was the perfect opportunity to review, revise and realign.
To optimise the workshop results, there will be opportunities for a number of organisations to have CONUS mentor them over the next 4-6 months. In order to be eligible for this mentoring the group must have participated at one of the workshops.
This support is invaluable in assisting groups to build the plan that they want and will also give them the opportunity to talk face-to-face with an experienced mentor about confidential or complex issues they may face.
Eight community groups have now registered for the free mentoring support which will be provided during the coming months.
