Ruth Faulkner
Ruth commenced her business career in 1993 by joining a leading global accountancy firm in London. Her work was diverse and included internal and external auditing, financial reporting, business advising, due diligence and financial consultancy. Clients varied in size from small charities to multi-national listed companies. She left London having qualified as a Chartered Accountant and having gained significant business experience across many market sectors.
Since moving to Australia and co-founding Conus Business Consultancy Services in 2006, Ruth has focused on providing businesses in North Queensland with a superior and professional level of business advice. Projects have included business planning, facilitation of strategic workshops, mentoring, development and implementation of action plans, not-for-profit community consultation, business assessments, financial management and financial analysis. She has extensive experience within the industrial, tourism, building and construction, retail, arts, service industries, agricultural and not-for-profit sectors of North Queensland.
Ruth is Chairman of the
Cassowary Coast Regional Council Audit Committee and is a service provider for both
Enterprise Connect and the Queensland Government.

Pete Faulkner
Pete commenced his business career in 1984 following graduation from Cass Business School. He spent a total of 15 years working in the financial markets based in the City of London. From an early position as a Bond Dealer he progressed to become an Executive Director of one of the world’s largest investment banks controlling a team of dealers, sales staff, derivatives experts and economists.
Since moving to Australia and co-founding Conus Business Consultancy Services in 2006, Pete has focused on providing business assistance to local small to medium sized enterprises and community groups. His aim is to provide rural businesses and communities in North Queensland with a superior and professional level of business advice. Projects have included the compilation of business plans, mentoring, community consultation and economics research and presentations. Pete has extensive experience working with local community groups in the Cassowary Coast region. He is a regular and popular speaker at various community and business groups in the region and also sits on the committees of a number of such groups.
